WHY YOU SHOULD RENEW YOUR HEALTH INSURANCE POLICY

We would like to thank you for choosign BrokerFish to provide your international health coverage for the last 12 months. We would like to remind you of the many benefits to renew your policy.

CONTINUITY OF COVERAGE

Your chosen health insurer will hope you maintain their cover with them, which will protect you from the circumstance of cancelling your coverage and then finding you have developed a serious medical condition, which could then cost you considerable costs to pay for the treatment yourself. Maintaining your cover also protects you from becoming uninsurable in future from developing a more serious medical condition.

It is important not to let your policy lapse if undergoing treatment, as your insurer would not pay for incurred costs after any lapsed renewal date. You or your new insurer would be liable for these costs.

ELIGIBLE FOR ADDITIONAL BENEFITS

Often an insurer has waiting periods on certain policy benefits which are only covered after a period of time. If you have been continuously covered for a period of 1, 2 or more years, depending upon your policy you could be eligible for additional benefits including:

  • Annual Wellness / Health Check
  • Psychiatric Treatment
  • Major Restorative Dental Treatment
  • Maternity cover or additional Maternity cover
  • Pre-Existing Medical Conditions (Delayed & Accepted)

RISK OF LOSING COVER BY CHANGING INSURERS

If you are considering changing insurers, it is best not only consider the price, but also to check the coverage provided. If you have suffered a new medical condition on your existing policy, any new policy may exclude this from cover as it may be termed pre-existing and not covered.

Also, please bare-in-mind that local country specific plans may not cover you in your home country for planned elective treatment and not provide medical evacuation coverage if the treatment you need is not available locally.
